Most of these people hv studied in Sinhalese school in Sinhalese medium. Now they are just try to impersonate an accent and try to be posh.

But there are very few who really can’t pronouns Sinhalese properly. It might be for various reasons. Maybe they were born in a foreign county and started speaking in English, etc …
It’s the TV producers responsibility to use people like this only on English programs, not Sinhalese ones.
